Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation Scholarship
Several nursing scholarships are provided to undergraduate students each year through funds provided by this foundation. Financial need is the primary prerequisite. Contact the UAB Financial Aid Office for information concerning these scholarships.

Lido Club of Washington, D.C. Scholarship
Award to undergraduate students of Italian descent. Must have permanent domicile within 50 miles of Washington, DC. Deadline: April 15. Application fee: $15

Lillian Sholtis Brunner Summer Fellowship for Historical Research in Nursing
To support pre- and postdoctoral research to be conducted at the Center for the Study of the History of Nursing in Philadelphia during the summer.

Lily Bierstein Scholarships
To provide financial assistance to New Jersey residents who are preparing for a career as a nurse.

Lois Drolet Luckie Nursing Scholarship
Established in memory of Mrs. Luckie by her husband, Mr. Robert Luckie, and is awarded in honor of Miss Holli Kemper, R.N., one of Mrs. Luckie's oncology nurses and a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Nursing, University of Alabama at Birmingham. According to Mr. Luckie, Miss Kemper constantly "went the extra mile" during Mrs. Luckie's terminal illness, carrying out her duties with great professionalism, cheerfulness and sympathetic skill. Criteria: cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0. Preference will be given to applicants who express an interest in oncology nursing. The School of Nursing Office of Student Affairs announces application deadline and procedures.

Lois Hallberg Nurse's Scholarship
To provide financial assistance for nursing education to children of South Dakota veterans.

To provide funding members of ANNA who are interested in establishing and evaluating an innovative practice in nephrology nursing settings.

Loyal Order of Moose, Elks, American Legion Scholarships
If you or a family member belong to one of these groups, check with the officer in charge of scholarships to find out if you are eligible for one of the scholarships. The American Legion awards Lung and Respiratory Nursing Scholarships as well as other scholarships
